SCE organise un programme de haut niveau pour les fonctionnaires de la Municipalité de Tianjin en Chine

The Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) today announced that it will be organising a high-level study visit programme in Singapore from 10 – 13 August 2009 for the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government. The study visit programme is led by the Vice-Mayor of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, Mr. Zhi Shenghua, and will comprise of 43 other senior district chiefs from Tianjin. The study visit programme, is a follow-up of last year’s visit by Tianjin’s Mayor Mr. Huang Xingguo, which had also been organised by SCE.

The objective of this study visit aims to share Singapore’s experiences in Urban Planning, Transportation, Greenery and Community Management with the high level delegates from Tianjin. During the visit, SCE has arranged for the delegation to meet with Singapore agencies such as the Urban Redevelopment Authority, Land Transport Authority, National Parks Board, National Environment Agency and Aljunied Town Council. The delegation will also call on Mr. Mah Bow Tan, Minister for National Development tomorrow.

Mr. Alphonsus Chia, SCE’s Chief Executive Officer said,

We hope that through this visit, it will enhance Singapore’s already strong relationship with Tianjin. We are also hopeful that this visit will lead to further downstream collaborations between Tianjin and Singapore. »
