SCE signe un accord avec la Municipalité de Tianjin pour partager l’expertise de Singapour dans le secteur publique.

Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) today announced it has signed a Framework Agreement with the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government to facilitate access to Singapore’s public sector expertise.

The objectives of this framework agreement are:
a) To establish a G – G collaboration platform to foster long-term strategic partnership between SCE and Tianjin Municipal People’s Government;
b) SCE and Tianjin Municipal People’s Government will work together to scope and identify selected sectors for deeper collaboration;
c) To bring in relevant public and private sector partners in Singapore to participate in enhancing economic development in Tianjin.

The framework agreement outlines our cooperation to share Singapore’s public sector expertise and experience with Tianjin Municipal People’s Government in urban management, which includes areas such as land-use planning, public housing, transportation development, environmental management, industrial park planning and city greening.

The first programme, with about 25 – 30 officials will start in the first half of 2008. SCE will leverage on Singapore’s public sector expertise and customise suitable training programmes to meet their requirements.

Both parties will also form a working group to identify and scope out specific projects for cooperation. SCE will offer public sector consultancy and advisory services in conjunction with areas identified by the working committee.

Speaking at the signing ceremony today, Mr. Kong Wy Mun, Director, Operations from SCE said,

« We believe that this agreement will facilitate more exchanges between Singapore and Tianjin officials, and strengthen the ties between Singapore and Tianjin Governments. »

The agreement was signed by Mr. Kong Wy Mun and Mr. Song Jin Chang, Vice Director of Tianjin Municipal Foreign Affairs Office.
