Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) a signé un accord avec le Ministère du Développement Industriel et Promotion du Secteur Privé de la République du Congo
Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) signed a Contract with the Republic of Congo’s Ministry of Industrial Development and Private Sector Promotion to jointly develop the National Programme of Industry Redeployment in Congo.
The signing took place this morning at the Africa Singapore Business Forum organised by IE Singapore. The Contract was signed by Mr. Rodolphe Adada, Senior Minister for Industrial Development and Private Sector Promotion, The Republic of Congo and Mr. Kong Wy Mun, Chief Executive Officer of SCE.
The contract will cover two components. For the first component, SCE will bring in Singapore private sector company, CrimsonLogic to provide advisory to the Government of Congo to improve the country’s overall standing in the World Bank Ease of Doing Business ranking. The Ease of Doing Business indicators that CrimsonLogic will work on are in the areas of “Starting a Business” and “Trading across Borders”.
Training and workshop sessions will be conducted by CrimsonLogic to discuss and gather feedbacks from the members of the task force from the Ministry of Industrial Development and Private Sector Promotion. The advisors will also assist the members of the task force to set up the framework structure to carry out activities on the Ease of Doing Business for both “Starting a Business” and “Trading across Borders”.
It is envisage that this phase of the project will be completed within nine months which will lead to a next phase of the project on sector-based Information and Communications Technology (ICT) implementation.
The second component of the Contract involves a team of retired officers from the Singapore public service in an implementation of industrial policies and promotion of the private sector. The SCE consultants will assist the Government of Congo with the formation of an Industry Development Agency, formulation of workplan and strategy for the agency and provide training for the core team of the agency.
