Singapore Cooperation Enterprise signe un accord avec la Municipalité de Nanjing pour partager l’expertise de Singapour dans la gestion des transports urbaines

Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) signed a Collaboration Agreement with the People’s Government of Nanjing Municipality yesterday to share Singapore’s experience in areas of Urban Transport Management. The agreement was signed between Mr. Zhao Jingfu, Deputy Secretary General of the Nanjing Municipal Government and Mr. Alphonsus Chia, Chief Executive Officer of SCE.

In order to further improve the urban transport management system in Nanjing, the Government of Nanjing rolled out the Nanjing Transport Development White Paper in recent years to summarise achievements and experiences of city transport development; analyse current Nanjing transport system and develop short and long term objectives to meet the vision of having a modern and sustainable transport system in Nanjing.

In line with the vision of the Government of Nanjing, under the agreement, SCE will aggregate a team of Singapore’s experts from Land Transport Authority (LTA) to assist the Nanjing Municipal Government review their existing urban transport plan; to address the traffic congestion in the main city area and improve the transport system.

The Singapore team will offer recommendations and share our Singapore’s experience on strategies and urban transport infrastructure management.

The Singapore’s team of experts will kick-start Phase 1 of the project of needs analysis in May 2010.
