Singapour partage son expérience et collabore sur des projets de l’écologie et la construction de réseaux de connecteurs de parc à Guwahati, en Inde
Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) announced today that they have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) to tap on Singapore’s expertise in urban management, particularly in the development of open spaces and park connector networks in Guwahati.
The MoU was signed by Dr Amadhaiyaan Angumuthu, Chief Executive Officer of GMDA and Mr Kong Wy Mun, Chief Executive Officer of SCE. It was witnessed by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Singapore’s Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan. The signing was held in conjunction with Minister Balakrishnan’s visit to India from 31 October to 1 November.
Under the areas of collaboration identified in the MoU, SCE will work with relevant Singapore government agencies and private sector companies to provide capacity building programmes to enhance the knowledge and skills of senior and mid-level officers, administrative officers, principals and faculty members of GMDA, and provide project consultancy and implementation on urban related topics, specifically in city greening and building of park connector networks in Guwahati.
GDMA expressed its interest to collaborate with SCE after officials from GMDA participated in the capacity building programme that SCE had jointly organized with the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), Government of India. The programme was implemented in 2016 and has trained more than 115 government officials across seven participating states of India.
