新加坡公共事务对外合作局 (SCE) 与桑给巴尔解放政府分享信息通讯技术

Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) announced today that they have signed an Agreement with the Ministry of Finance of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, to formulate an Information Communication Technology (ICT) strategy review. Under Vision 2020 adopted by the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Information Technology has been identified as one of the critical areas to be addressed in order to meet its e-Government vision and objectives.

The signing took place in Zanzibar and the Agreement was signed by Mr. Kong Wy Mun, Chief Executive Officer, SCE and Mr. Khamis Omar, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.

Under the Agreement, SCE will partner with KDI Asia to implement an Information Communication Technology (ICT) Strategic Review to assist the Government of Zanzibar to:

(1) Define the purpose and priorities of the Government to support the development of a citizen centric delivery model;
(2) Formulate an e-Government vision and strategy that is aimed at using ICT as an enabler to transform the public sector at various levels; and
(3) Establish an implementation road map for the government to successfully carry out the e-Government vision and strategy.

Mr. Kong Wy Mun, Chief Executive Officer of SCE said,

“This project would be SCE’s first in Zanzibar, which adds to the growing portfolio of 10 countries in Africa, that SCE has already been engaging with. We are happy to share Singapore’s expertise and experience through this ICT strategic review and hope that it would contribute positively towards Zanzibar’s own growth and development.”
