新加坡和哈萨克斯坦签署数字贸易谅解备忘录
The Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan to share Singapore’s experience in facilitating SMEs and industries in Kazakhstan to go digital and continue their businesses amid the current global pandemic situation and post-COVID-19 “New Normal”.
The MOU was signed by the Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mrs. Assel Zhanassova, and Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Cooperation Enterprise, Mr. Kong Wy Mun, on 27 November via a virtual signing ceremony.
Under the framework of the MOU, SCE will aggregate expertise from Singapore to:
1. Formulate strategic directions to help SMEs use digital technologies and build stronger digital capabilities to seize growth opportunities in the digital economy in Kazakhstan;
2. Develop a practical implementation roadmap, with structured and inclusive approach, towards the adoption of digital technologies by SMEs and its industries in Kazakhstan;
3. Enhance policies, standards, and optimization of administrative procedures in encouraging digital transformation by SMEs;
4. Formulate plans for Digital Connectivity, and (Digital) Trade Facilitation and Logistics to expedite, lower costs and increase transparency of trade flows between borders
5. Train specialists and increasing human capital in relation to digital transformation, digital connectivity, digital trade facilitation and logistics.
This is the second collaboration between SCE and the Kazakhstan government, with the first in the development of affordable and quality housing for Kazakhstanis.
