Singapore Cooperation Enterprise Signs MOU with Oman Ministry of National Economy for Development Affairs

Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) to work together with the Oman Ministry of National Economy for Development Affairs (OMNEDA) on various ICT projects

1. Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) and the Oman Ministry of National Economy for Development Affairs (OMNEDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding today to collaborate on ICT projects, and to promote closer cooperation and exchange of information pertaining to the ICT sector.

2. SCE, as the primary vehicle established by Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will partner Singapore public sector agencies to share and exchange information and experience with OMNEDA on identified areas of interest in ICT, such as e-government and ICT adoption by Oman public sector agencies.

3. In addition, SCE will partner Singapore public sector agencies and qualified Singapore-based companies to work on an identified list of ICT projects and implement such projects for OMNEDA.

4. The MOU was signed by Mr Alphonsus Chia, Chief Executive Officer, SCE, and His Excellency Alfadhel Alharthy, Undersecretary, OMNEDA. The signing ceremony was held in conjunction with the Singapore-Oman Joint Committee Meeting in Oman.
